Salinas Valley Junior Golf Association was
founded in October, 1994 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Its
mission is to develop and support a public junior golf program for all
interested children and to promote the game to any child wanting to learn.
Our yearly
membership now averages 200-300 junior golfers between the ages of 6 and
18. There are many benefits to being a member
of SVJGA. (Programs and Tournaments)
Membership must be renewed annually with an updated application. Each $25 membership is good
from January 1-December 31 of each year.
Effective December, 2007, The First Tee, SVJGA, and AT&T Jr. Golf will
be offering a triple membership. You may still join SVJGA only for
$25, or the First Tee of Monterey County only for $95, or AT&T Jr.
Golf only for $25.
Or you can join all three organizations for $120 and enjoy a $25 savings.
With a triple membership, you will also receive an NCGA handicap card at
no extra cost. Please make sure that you include your current NCGA number
(if you have one) on your application. You may also renew your NCGA card
by joining only TFTMC or SVJGA. This card will allow you to post your
scores at each of the courses that you play and have an official handicap.
This card also allows you discount green fees at Bayonet, Laguna
Seca, Poppy, etc.
